About
Ulrika Bennerstedt is a PhD student and research assistant in the Department of Education, Communication and Learning. She has a background in education (M.Sc.) and applied information and communication technology (M.Sc.). My research interests include interaction in multiplayer online games, games education and game developers work of creating digital games. In particular, I am exploring the increased professionalization of play related to these settings. Previously I have studied gamers’ skills and competencies when playing first-person shooter video games by conducting video-based interaction analysis. I have also worked with questions concerning high consumption and problematic usage of massively multiplayer online games (MMOs).
